Two weeks ago I took a trip from Munich to Timisoara and stopped in Vienna on the way, for the weekend. I had to take advantage of the beautiful weather out there and enjoyed both my long walking activities, and my visit to the Albertina art gallery.
Don’t get me wrong, living in Munich is great. But sometimes I like to watch people elegantly dressed, walking by Secession buildings, and where else to enjoy this more than in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, Vienna. A perfect city for tours, trips, longer journeys and even sports activities (like cycling, which I really love).
Being a passionate photographer, I couldn’t help taking some sunny impressions on my walk. Here’s some of what came out:
My travel app, TraceMyTrack, helped me record my journey from Munich to Vienna, and finally to Timisoara. This way i could see that I had actually made two days and a half on the road. It’s almost as if I had come by carriage, like people used to do one hundred years ago. Can you imagine still traveling by carriage?
The Eduard Angeli exhibition at Albertina was quite beautiful and interesting. I had to stop and admire the canvases and the subtle artwork of this contemporary Austrian painter.
My track looks complex, with many standing points, which means I often stopped to take photos and admire the view. But it was all worth it! You can still get to see Angeli’s exhibition at Albertina, next to big names like Schiele or Klimt, until June 25.
